About Us
My name is Bruce Kidder. I've been a resident of the Lansing/Leavenworth community for over 13 years, mostly as a small business owner. I just recently completed a rigorous, one-year desktop publishing, and web architect and design certification program at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) which included study of Adobe's InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator programs as well as web applications such as Dreamweaver, Flash and PHP scripts. Consequently, I am confident that I can develop and create a first-class web site for you that will accurately portray and enhance your business.
Since graduation from JCCC in December 2008, I’ve worked several jobs to further my knowledge of desktop publishing and design. I’ve done contract work for a Kansas City based web design company posting pictures and text, updates and SEO on their client’s web sites. In addition to that, I worked for a local real estate investment company upgrading their multi-page web sites with design changes and SEO. I currently work with Adobe’s Photoshop in a youth sports photography business I started last year. Furthermore, I designed, launched and am webmaster for a kid’s directory in the Leavenworth County area named LVKidStuff.com.
In past careers, I spent twenty-one years with the U.S. Army followed by nine years as a successful restaurateur and half-owner of the High Noon Saloon & Brewery, a full-service restaurant and bar, located in Leavenworth, Kansas. During the latter, I helped run a multi-faceted operation which included advertising new and improved menu items, and upcoming events in print ads and calendars on our company web site. In addition to this, I routinely created flyers and brochures that promoted our business. Through this, I found that I really enjoyed working with photographic, desktop and graphic design technologies, and was good at it. After I sold my interest in the restaurant, I decided to go to school and pursue this as a new career.
I look forward to hearing from you.
